Russell York, Chair
Russell York is a marketing and communications professional who has helped some of the world's leading technology companies tell their stories. His San Diego roots are in South Bay where he was born and raised, and he has hung onto his 619 area code despite his career taking him all over the map.
Russell's passion for the arts started as a young kid on a field trip to the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park to see a Norman Rockwell exhibit. The whimsical joy of Rockwell's work impressed on Russell at an early age that art was not just boring school projects, but a way to see the world and to share inspiring messages.
Today, Russell is committed to SDCAA's vision and work to bring the transformative power of art into more communities and to change the lives of San Diego's youth.
